CUSC Educational Scholarship
Chesterfield United Soccer Club
Educational Scholarship Program
 
 
 
Purpose: 
To provide financial assistance to Chesterfield United Soccer Club participants in their pursuit of a degree or completion of an approved program from: a two (2) year college; a four (4) year college or university; a community college, a vocational school; or a trade school.
 
 
Awards: 
A minimum of $2,000 in scholarship funds will be awarded annually to multiple applicants. It is the intent of this committee to award one scholarship based on financial need and a second based on academic accomplishments of CUSC travel players. The type of awards actually made will be dependent upon the pool of applicants. Should additional funding be available, the club may choose to award additional whole or partial scholarships.
 
 
Recipients: 
A minimum of two (2) students each year will be identified to receive the above awards on a one-time basis. 
 
 
Eligibility:
  •  Applicants must have participated or played with Chesterfield United Soccer Club a minimum of four (4) consecutive seasons. You must currently play on a CUSC travel team and be in good standing with the club.
Application Process:
 
  • Applicants can obtain an application form from the CUSC office or print it from the CUSC web-site.
  • The deadline to submit an application is May 15th. Applications may be submitted via mail to:

The Scholarship Committee will review applications, gather information and render their decision to the board by June 1st.
 
Guidelines:
The purpose of the program is to recognize those travel soccer players who have participated in and made a contribution to Chesterfield United Soccer Club.
 
The scholarship recipients should be high school seniors that have:
 
Achieved a minimum of a 2.5 grade point average over the last two years of high school.
 
1. Demonstrated contributions in the areas of leadership, sports, extra curricular activities and/or community involvement.
 
2. Applicants must have participated or played with Chesterfield United Soccer Club a minimum of four (4) consecutive seasons. You must currently play on a CUSC team and be in good standing with the club.
 
3. It is not a requirement that the applicant play soccer for the institution of higher learning that he/she will attend to maintain their eligibility for the scholarship.
 
4. The applicant must have received a letter of acceptance or a conditional letter of acceptance from a two (2) year college; a four (4) year college or university; a community college, a vocational school; or a trade school. CUSC may request a copy of this documentation.
 
 
Judging: 
The CUSC Educational Scholarship Committee will review all applications of travel players and make known the recipients to the board. If necessary, the committee will request additional information from the applicants. 
 
Scholarship Funds:
Funds to support the scholarship Program are obtained from Chesterfield United Soccer Club sponsored tournament(s).
