To conduct and administer soccer instruction through an advanced level of coaching, preparing the player physically, technically, tactically, and psychologically to play the game with a competitive spirit and drive with the highest `hands on` professional instruction in the area.

OBJECTIVE
The overall objective of the Chesterfield Soccer academy is to provide intensive professional guided and advanced training directed towards the overall development, confidence, and ability of the Elite soccer player.
STRUCTURE
The Academy will be split into 3 areas each run by two CUSC trainers.
U9 – U11 Fundamental Player Program
Perhaps the most important part of the game is fundamentals, which serve as a player’s foundation for the future. Fundamentals as well as sophisticated techniques of soccer will be taught on a personalized individual level along with various forms of group instruction provided by the professional CUSC staff. Emphasis is placed on the individual and much of the curriculum involves (i) getting comfortable with the ball (ii) dribbling, driving with the ball (iii) development of self confidence and 1v1 attacking/defending confidence.Players are encouraged to stay with the ball and be creative
U12 – U14 Pre-Professional program
In the second stage we aim to guide players down the Elite pathway. Development of small group tactics, individual and team transition, enrichment of individual skill and understanding of the importance of possession make up the top priorities in this group.
U15-U18 Professional Education Program
This program is designed to help players who want to make that final push to the Elite level of competition. This program demands the highest level of commitment and hard work to the technical, tactical, psychological and physical aspects of the game.The priorities include the development of team tactic, functional play, match related training, principle of play and team transition
SELECTION PROCESS
- CUSC Director trainers will be responsible for the selection of academy players.
- Academy Director and trainer will be responsible for the evaluation of player during games, practices and communication with coaches.
- Academy players will be notified via e-mail or phone call from Academy trainer.
- List of selected players will be posted on Chesterfield United website by September 24th.
- Players may be ADD IT or DROP IT, every week, evaluation will be made after every training session. In case of chance made players will be notified by e-mail or phone.

This 8 week Academy serves as an important aspect of continuing youth development of the Elite players within the Chesterfield United Soccer Club.
