Picture of the Week Submission Guidelines

If you have a soccer photo that you would like to nominate for display as "Picture of the Week", you may submit a copy of the image by E-mail, using the guidelines below. By submitting an image, you are verifying that you are the copyright holder of the image (the one who took the picture is generally the copyright holder) and that you give Chesterfield United Soccer Club or its designee(s) permission to modify the image for web presentation and non-exclusive rights to publish the photo on its website.

E-mail your image to office@chesterfieldunited.com, including:
Your first and last name
Photographer's first and last name (if you are not the photographer, also state whether you have their permission to submit the image for publication here)
Date photo was taken
Caption information (describe the photo, including "who, what, when, where")
Preferred Title for your photo (optional)
Use high quality photos: sharply focused, well exposed, subject(s) filling frame.
High resolution images are preferred (if low res, then at least 640x480 pixels in size)
Any digital image file format, either compressed or uncompressed, such as JPG or TIF (attach or insert the image file with your email, but do not embed in a document or web page file or link)
Original digital camera files are preferred, but if scanning a photo from film or print, set your scanner to 300 dpi for a 4x6" print to give a 1200x1800 pixel image (use 1200dpi for a slide or negative)
Please do not submit photos taken by someone else.
(If you must, it will only be published if you provide the name of the photographer, plus a statement that they have given their permission to have the photo published on the CUSC web site.)
We may crop, adjust and resize your image as needed for optimal web display, with copyright credit given to the photographer.
Please limit submissions to one photo per person per week - give us your best shot.
It's all about soccer and about our players and teams, so photos should focus on them and the fun, accomplishments, and pride we have in our club and in the sport.
