· Is Fun: I want the players to work hard, learn and develop – and never forget that we are here to play a game. If the players aren’t having fun then I’m doing something wrong.
· Inspires a passion for the game: I love the game – read about it, watch it and travel to see it. I was blessed with outstanding coaches as a player – coaches that inspired that passion in me – I focus on providing an experience that fuels that passion in the players I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to influence and coach.
· Produces competitive teams and players: The style, strategy and tactics are flexible to the make-up of the team. Focus of player development depends on age and ability – primary focus on creativity, confidence in 1v1 situations, speed of play, combination play and functional training.
· Encourages sportsmanship: I value and encourage players that play hard within the rules/spirit of the game. I consider sportsmanship part of the player’s long-term development and focus on the opportunities to teach/discipline this important skill.
