August 2008- Recreational Coaches Meeting - Date TBD and details to follow

August 25, 2008 - Recreational practices begin

September 6, 2008 - Recreational games begin

September 27, 2008 - Recreational picture Day

October 11, 2008 - No games this weekend - Columbus Day Holiday

October 15, 2008 - Last day to register for the MegaBlast Recreational Tournament for those that are participating

October 20, 2008 - Coaches that have entered their teams into the MegaBlast Tournament need to have their list of players submitted to the Recreational Director

November 1, 2008 - Jan 31, 2009 - Spring 2009 Recreational Registration

November 8, 2008 - Last Recreational game

November 21, 2008 - Registration at RISE for those participating in the MegaBlast Tournamen

November 22-23, 2008 - MegaBlast Recreational Tournament

Recreational Vendors

CUFC Recreational department is happy to announce our continued relationship with the following vendors:

1. Our referee assignor for the upcoming soccer year will be ODSRS

Happy Faces Children's Photogrphy - PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS - Saturday 27 September is our scheduled picture day. More details will follow.

Recreational Uniform Logo Replacement

CUFC is very excited to announce that we will place the new CUFC logo on your current recreational jerseys at no charge to you. We would like for everyone to be in jersey’s with the new logo by September. If you placed an order for new uniforms they will automatically come with the new logo. To make this all possible CUFC has come up with 2 different dates.

We are asking that you simply place both jerseys in a gallon size baggie. Place an index card clearly marked with your name, players name, phone number and email address in the bag and drop them off/pick them up at the CUFC office on one of the dates listed below.

Drop off/ pick up dates:

Uniforms dropped off during the week of July 7-10 can be picked up during the week of July 21-24.

Uniforms dropped off during the week of August 11-14 can be picked up during the week of August 25-29.

United Development Program (UDP)

The “United Development Program” is designed for all boys and girls ages U6 to U12. The program is designed to teach a well-defined set of age specific skills to all players involved, providing a transitional link between recreational soccer, and the Academy small-sided travel programs under the guidance of United’s professional training staff.

If you would like your child to receive enhanced skills training and to be involved in an educational experience that inspires players to be creative, perform with confidence, and have fun while improving at playing soccer and taking it to the next level then...

THIS IS THE PROGRAM FOR YOU!!

U6-U8 will play in the Recreational Program

U9-U12 may have the opportunity to play in the ADSL

What the UDP program provides:

•Directed by Joe Farrell, U8-U12 Director Player Development.
•Enhanced training through age-specific, progressive curriculum
•Practice 2 xs per week with licensed coach
•More competitive games
•Constant evaluation and feedback
•2 tournaments per year one Fall and one Spring
•Quality practice and game fields
•Optional Summer/Winter futsal training

• This program is designed to run from Fall 2008 to Spring 2009

Program Fees:

U6 program cost—$350

U8 program cost—$450

U10 - U12 program cost—$500
