U-17 Boys Elite team forward, James Shinn, "nutmegs" the goalie to score the first goal in a match against VA Beach FC played on 24 Sep 2006 at Point of Rocks Park. The team remains undefeated in regular league play after 3 matches, and also won their first round match in the VA State Cup tournament before meeting the second seed in the state. By the way, the term "nutmeg", which refers to intentionally passing the ball through the defender's legs, most likely originated from an old Victorian verb meaning "to trick" or "to fool", which came from nutmeg spice vendors who often sold fake nutmeg (although there are other explanations of how the term arose in soccer).
