Coaches play a big role in a player’s development, but we feel parents also have a unique role in their player’s development. We ask parents to make only encouraging and positive comments on the sidelines during games and training, and allow the coach to make the coaching adjustments and coaching comments. Parents can get more involved by volunteering to be a team manager, assisting the team manager, or helping the coach pick up equipment after training. Parents are welcome to approach the club or coach for more ways to get involved.
Below are articles with valuable information for parents. These articles include appropriate sideline behavior, information and studies about why kids play soccer (it may not be what you think!), and ways to handle different senarios that may arise.
